袁雅芝出生並現居於香港。
她從生活狀態與工作經歷的矛盾中汲取靈感。
近年來，她主要從歷史、地理和政治的角度探討動物的題材，
從圈養動物的狀態，了解這些狀態與人們的關係和相似性。
2016年取得香港藝術學院藝術高級文憑並於 2019 年獲得香港浸會大學視覺藝術文學士。
作品曾於香港、日本、新加坡及倫敦等地展出。
Yuen Nga Chi was born and lives in Hong Kong.
She draws inspiration from the contradiction between living conditions and working experience. In recent years, she has mainly explored the theme of animals, the state of captive animals, and the relationship and similarity between these states and humans from historical, geographical and political perspectives.
She obtained a Higher Diploma in Fine Arts from the Hong Kong Art School in 2016 and a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts from Hong Kong Baptist University in 2019. Her works have been exhibited in Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and London, etc.

爸爸突然中風了。 當他再次睜開眼，
身體像壞掉的機器人一樣，不能自控。
他的雙手起了變化。
左是「好手」，右是「壞手」。
左手成了所有日常生活的依靠;
壯碩有力。右手成了掛在身體 上的附屬品;
執筆無力。機械卻讓它不由自主地開合。
康復期間，家裡出現了爸爸隨手塗寫的紙張。 那是六合彩的號碼，是他唯一願意用右手寫字的原因。 每期六合彩都是他買來的機會。
他希望這些數字總有一次能幫助他的家庭，
過上好日子。

Dad had a stroke unexpectedly.
When he opened his eyes again, his body was like a robot that was out of his control. His hands have changed. Left is now "good hand” and has become the basis of all daily life; strong and powerful. Right hand became "bad hand” hanging o the body, unable to write and relying on a machine to make it open and close involuntarily.
During his recovery, I began photographing him and collecting papers that father had written on. Numbers of the Mark Six (Lottery) results. It became the only reason he is willing to write with his right hand. Each issue of Mark Six is an opportunity he bought. He hopes that these numbers will help his family to live a better life.
